Anybody who knows me knows that Jericho is one of my favorite shows this year. I was appalled that CBS was so short-sighted as to cancel this show.
Jericho started off being a very sci-fi, very conspiratorial show that appealed to my geek side more than anything. By the end of the show, I was beyond the whole nuke thing and was focused more on how society was surviving after such a catastrophe. For me Jericho is a study of the human spirit and the strength of the citizens of the United States.
CBS made a horrible decision to put Jericho on an extended hiatus. I nearly lost track of the show and I was avidly following the impending mid-season start. And now, because of their poor decision, CBS has decided that Jericho is now not profitable to keep on the air. And here is where the fans come in and help the mis-informed, misguided television executives figure out where they went astray: “Jericho fans have send almost 10,00lbs of nuts to CBS to protest the show’s cancelation. So far the cost is over $13K JUST TO MAKE A STATEMENT. They show no signs of slowing down. The nuts are a reference to a line from the finale and CBS’s rationale to cancel.
